Need to Get Away? Plan a Tropical Vacation in Aruba

Aruba is an island off the coast of Venezuela. The weather in Aruba is tropical and warm and Aruba is a very popular vacation destination for lots of different kinds of people. Aruba offers something for everyone. There are great hotels and resorts if you want a more structured vacation. There are also lots of private vacation rentals that you can rent for a week, a month, or even the whole summer.

If you are traveling with the family there are endless activities for families that include all kinds of water sports like swimming, fishing, boating, waterskiing, jet skiing and more or you can just lie on the beach and soak up the sun while the kids play on the white beaches. You can also hike, play golf or tennis, or take a horseback tour of the island. If you love to be outdoors in the warm tropical weather then Aruba is a great place for you to vacation this year.

The island of Aruba is only 20 miles long and about 6 miles across so when you're vacationing in Aruba the whole island is your playground and there isn't a bad spot to stay on the whole island. Aruba is a popular spot for weddings too because of the miles of white sandy beaches and the turquoise waters that surround the island. If you are looking for a tropical vacation spot that is close to home but feels a world away then Aruba is a great choice for a vacation spot. One of the things that most travelers like about Aruba is that it's close to the US so you don't have a long travel time. Another thing that makes Aruba popular with tourists is that most of the people that live and work on the island speak English and several other languages so that you won't have any trouble making yourself understood.

Aruba is much like other tropical islands when it comes to weather. Sunny and warm with an average temperature around 90 degrees in the summer. The winter rainy season during November and December makes those times a less popular time for tourists to visit the island but in general the island is beautiful year-round. If you want to take a tropical vacation but money is tight you could try booking a vacation to Aruba during the rainy season at a greatly reduced cost. Chances are good that you will still have some sun while you're there and you can save a lot of money by going in the off season.

A vacation to Aruba would be a great way to spend the winter holidays if you are sick of cold and snow by midwinter. If you are going to travel to Aruba during the popular summer months be prepared to pay a little more for the best hotels and vacation rentals. Whenever you can you should book a vacation rental at least four months in advance to make sure that you get a good deal. Also be sure to ask if the hotel you choose is right on the beach or not. Some hotels are miles from the beach so if being on the beach is important to you it's best that you find out in advance.
