Top-Rated New Atlanta Restaurants of 2005

Atlanta is one of the well-known cities in the world that bristle with life and activity. It is particularly known for its wonderful rolling, wooded hills that surround the city lakes, parks and rivers. But, much to it, Atlanta offers great accommodation, dining, entertainment, and lot more.

Today, Atlanta is considered as one of the dining hubs in the United States. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the city's restaurant scene in recent years was full of dramatic new restaurant openings, but there are also a few shocking closings. Well, for your great interest on this matter, here are some of the most exciting new Atlanta restaurants at present.

Piebar

Piebar was developed by Bob Amick and company from a renovated historic bank building. As many people have noted, the odd round building now catches the eye with colored lights at night, and the addition of a patio area that has a sci-fi vibe to it. Inside this Atlanta restaurant, you can find the young and hip singles sipping cocktails and munching on the house specialty, designer pizzas. Here, Maverick chef Richard Blais helped the design of the assorted menu.

The Globe

Located in the Technology Square, The Globe is a modern, stylish café and lounge. It draws the attention and interest of many people, even though it is developed far from just a college hangout. This Atlanta restaurant primarily offers a well-executed menu along with one of the more creative and distinct specialty cocktail selections available in town.

Shout

Shout is actually one of the most visited restaurants in the city of Atlanta today. It has enjoyed a dazzling opening and continues to attract the hip, single set, with a blend of stylish décor, trendy drinks, and a great view of the Midtown. The Shout Atlanta restaurant is part of the famous Here to Serve Restaurants group, and it has attracted its share of celebrities to its upper-floor patio area, where cabanas are available for rental at a premium price. At this place, often overlooked is the food, which generally includes a separate sushi bar as well as a main menu founded by the former Bluepointe chef Ian Winslade.

Table 1280

Table 1280 is an upscale Atlanta restaurant situated adjacent to the newly expanded High Museum of Art to serve the patrons of the Woodruff Arts Center. Here, Shaun Doty is the chef who jumped at the opportunity to helm this high-profile position, leaving his beloved MidCity Cuisine. At Table 1280, it is so typical that patrons grab small bites and cocktails in a comfortable lounge area, or enjoy a full-course dinner in the trendy dining room.
