Hike Halawa Valley
Hiking is a good way to stretch those tired and cramped muscles and at the same time explore the paradise island you are in. Known as the “cathedral valleys,” Halawa Valley is home to rare and diverse plants and animals. It is also home to a lot of hidden temples or heiau in local terms. The trail is difficult for inexperienced hikers so it is best to hire a guide to avoid getting into accidents or getting lost. But the Halawa Valley's greatest pride is the Moola Falls. Double-tiered and a 250 foot drop, this baby is a perfect picnic spot after a long hike. So don't forget to take your bathing suit with you so you can finish off this rejuvenating hike with a swim.

Visit Kalaupapa National Historic Park
This is not just any visit because for this trip you need a mule! How relaxing is that? But maybe not to relaxing because you need the mule to traverse the highest known sea cliff on Earth. The trail to this Historic Park is 2.9 miles in total will leave you in awe as the beauty of the sea and the mountains will captivate you. The Kalaupapa National Historic Park was once the home of a noted man, a missionary of Belgian descent, Father Damien. Father Damien has helped patients with the Hansen disease that were exiled in this place.

Take your picnic basket at Kaunakakai
Spend a lazy day just with your loved one and your picnic basket at the Kaunakakai. This quaint town will take you back to the once simple days in Hawaii. It's main strip called the Ala Malama Avenue is historic in origin for it was named after a house that was onced used by King Kamahameha V in the mid 1800s. And don't forget to grab some bread from their famous bakery, a must see in your Molokai visit. Called the Kanemitsu's Bakary, it is well known for its onion-and-cheese bread which is a best seller for any tourist that visits Kaunakakai.

See virgin rainforests in the Kamakou Preserve
Lovers of nature will sure love this experience. Molokai is proud of its green treasures: a 3,000 acre of virgin rainforests preserved to its finest at the Kamakou Preserve. Treat your senses to beauty and stroll down this place of beauty. Over two hundred different rare plants and floras are found in these rainforests not to mention the Olomao and Kawawahie, birds that are nearly extinct but have been preserved due to the importance Molokai gave to its natural resources. Where else in world can you see virgin forests preserved in its natural beauty but in Molokai?
