Magical Molokai

Molokai was created when two major volcanoes pushed their way out of the Pacific Ocean some million plus years ago. Over time, part of what had developed fell right into the ocean as a result leaving behind the mighty sea cliffs that are renowned in Molokai. Settlers then migrated from the South Pacific to Molokai. Settlers migrated here in hopes of seeking wisdom and advice. There is a rich sense of spirituality and religious history among the natives who still hold on very strongly to what their ancestors stood for.

Molokai is known for being very balanced between man and nature and a very long history of sorcery and tribal communities unveils in the stories that are told with such pride. The symbolic traditions and sense of harmony that flows through this island is almost inconceivable. Molokai has always been considered a place of magic from very early times.

Being the most incorrupt of any of the Hawaiian Islands it is the most unimaginable place to exchange wedding vows. Many couples have decided to get married and celebrate that most special day either high upon the sea cliffs that overlook the flawless ocean or on the edge of the white sandy beach. There are ranches and lodges that can accommodate any beautiful reception. It is also been said that a trip down to Halawa Valley will take your breath away. This makes Molokai a perfect place for a private and secluded wedding.

Molokai is not the vacation spot for everyone and that is how the locals intend to keep it. Thousands of stories have been told by people who vacationed in Molokai and said they had never been treated finer. The locals treated them like family and were certain in making sure their stay was nothing but comfortable. Most who travel to Molokai do intend to return, the only changes they plan to make to their travel plans is to spend more time in Molokai on their return.

Molokai can give you a sense of both culture and history combined. It can offer you a rugged but calm sense of nature with plush fertile valleys that are said to be about a hundred shades of green. The postcard rainforests and the exuberant fishing spots are only some of what Molokai has to offer. Enjoy scuba diving to see the barrier reefs and snorkeling. Visit the macadamia nut farm and the coffee plantation.

Molokai does have one hospital, a police station, a library, a fire department, and at least one bank. So while it may not offer every thing that you could ever want it is sure to meet all of your needs. Molokai is magical and pristine; there is no place, especially within the United States that could ever match up to this possibly undeveloped yet most gratifying island of Molokai.

Be sure to visit each of the beaches that Molokai has to offer because each one has something different to bring to the table. Whether or not it is a family orientated beach with camping facilities or a private beach that allows you to just lie back on a blanket and soak up the rays, it is the perfect destination for a much needed vacation.
