Molokai: Visiting The Most Hawaiian Island

We all know for a fact that Hawaii is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. With long stretches of white sand beaches, the Hawaiian Islands are indeed full of fun activities that you can participate in. However, because of its popularity, almost all the islands in Hawaii are bustling with tourists that are not really that appealing especially if you are the type of person who doesn't like crowds.

However, you will see that there is an island in Hawaii that offers the real Hawaii and where the aloha spirit really flourishes. And, this island is called Molokai.

Also known as the most Hawaiian island and the friendly island, you will be able to experience the real and old Hawaii in Molokai. Here, you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty of Hawaii, such as the rain forest as well as the virtually deserted white sand beaches.

Molokai offers almost everything that you can ask for. However, if what you are looking for is lots of people, and all that glitz and glamour, you may want to try out the other more popular islands of Hawaii.

Basically, Molokai is an island lost in time. You will not see any fancy night clubs, or buildings that are taller than palm trees here. Here, you will be able to truly experience the Hawaiian way of life. It is a place where the only footprints in the beaches will be yours.

In fact, this place is so secluded that because there is little automobile traffic here, there aren't even traffic lights. There are no malls or elevators and you won't see those fancy neon lights like you would in the other islands. Indeed, Molokai is an unspoiled piece of Hawaii that you will definitely want to visit.

If you want souvenirs, then you will see that Molokai has small and friendly businesses in the Kaunakakai area. This is the largest town in the island and you will be able to shop for almost anything that you want. You will also be able to buy things in the villages of Kualapu'u and Maunaloa.

Life here in Molokai is laid back, slow and relaxed. If you are the type of person who's idea of relaxing is just spending the whole day at the beach and watching the beautiful sunset without the crowd, then Molokai is indeed the island for you to go to. It is peaceful and rural and you will feel like you stepped back 50 years in time. Here, you will be able to experience a life that is truly relaxing where posh night clubs are virtually non-existent.

Although there are bars in the island, you won't find the sort that is riddled with neon lights. However, you will see modest bars that will be able to serve you some tropical cocktails and local drinks. Here, you will definitely be able to relax.

Molokai is indeed a place like no other in the Hawaiian Islands. Although it's not as popular as the other islands in Hawaii, you will see that this is exactly why you should go. With long stretches of beaches that are not crowded, you will truly have a relaxing vacation. So, the next time you plan on going to Hawaii to truly relax, the Molokai Island is the island for you.
